This is an amazing list! Thanks for compiling it. My daughter just finished her first-year, and the barf bags were an underrated gem - she thought I was being very "extra" when I sent those with her, but she and MANY of her dormmates ended up being very grateful to have them.

Great post! I have one other suggestion- parents may want to execute a health care/medical power of attorney form so that they can assist their student with medical care if needed. Otherwise, because the student is no longer a minor, parents may not be able to assist or get info in the event of a serious incident/illness/hospitalization, particularly if the student is unconscious. This is not a thing any of us want to think about, but it's worth considering. Mama Bear legal forms has a free medical POA on their site.
